I am 26 years old and live and work in London. I believe it-s the time for me to find someone with whom I can share my entire life under Allah-s mercy- whilst working together to achieve our goals for this life and akhirah. I consider myself someone who is honest and I can say that I am no where near being perfect and I don-t expect my wife to be either- perfection only belongs to Allah subhanahu wa tala. Marriage life will never be perfect- all it requires is patience and efforts from both ends. Deen is an essential part of my life. My identity is my faith before anything else. I ask Allah to keep me and the ummah guided. Anas -radi Allahu anhu- narrated that asking for a firm and obedient heart was one of the constant supplications of the Prophet -alayhi salaatu wa salaam-- and one narration from Umm Salamah -radi Allahu anha- states that this was the duaa he made the most. This duaa is: “Allahumma ya Muqallib al Quloob thabbit qalbi ‘alaa Deenik-” “O Turner of the hearts- make my heart firm upon Your Religion.” I am currently learning Arabic and attend Islamic classes every weekend which helps to learn and understand more about Islam. I don-t listen to music or watch movies and I hope that my future wife shares the same or at least willing to change for the sake of Allah. I always believe in the fact that family that prays together- stays together :-
