My name is Tariq Abdush Shakur. I-m 36 years old and I-m a revert to Islam. I-ve been muslim since 2017. I come from an Afro-Latino background- my mother is African American and my father is Latino. I-ve been through my struggles in life and they-ve led me to become the man I am with the help of Allah. I-m very big on social reform and restorative justice. As a Muslim I stand strongly against oppression and stand with human rights. I do take Islam serious- I read my Qur-an in Arabic and English- I pray 5 times a day- I fast sometimes on Mondays and Thursdays- and I only eat halal. I-m not extreme with my din- I follow the sunnah of the prophet Muhammad and always take the middle course. What I-m saying is I don-t make Islam harder and I don-t take it too lightly. So yes I enjoy music- movies- I love to read and I love to cook.
