Asalamalykum! I am a 28 year old British Pakistani and a practicing Sunni who was born and raised in the UK and currently live in Dubai. I graduated from the University of Cambridge and work as a strategy consultant. Islam plays a central role in my life and every Ramadan since covid I make 1 commitment to better myself for example- one ramadan I made witr salah obligatory on myself and now I can’t sleep without doing witr. I have an optimistic personality and am grateful for the tests and trials Allah has set for me. I am very easy going and have set certain milestones in my life in terms of islam- family planning and career. Usually I go to Madinah every couple of months to think and write out my life goals because the vibe is just right. Some Islamic scholars and resources I use are: Mufti Menk- Sheikh Assim Al-Hakeem- islamQA- Yasir Qadhi and more I do not celebrate Milad-mawlid- khatams- no superstitions etc.
