I’m an ethnically Sudanese- born and raised in Saudi Arabia- 22 year old woman. I recently graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication and Media and am currently interning at a popular finance company in Communications and Marketing. On the side- I freelance graphic design where I create brand identities- logos- and general campaign materials as well as journalism where I write articles for a variety of different publications on different relevant topics. I’m an introvert at heart and my ideal evening looks like cuddling on the couch with a good psychological thriller or regency romance novel. Outside of work- I enjoy drawing- creative writing- crocheting- and video editing. I value the work and effort I’ve put into my education and career but will probably leave that behind in favour of raising my children properly- and may or may not return to working after they’ve grown older. I’m adept at most ‘in-house chores’ like cooking and cleaning- although I am mostly familiar with traditional Saudi Arabian dishes and desserts- save for maybe eggs and pasta I’m not well versed in many western recipes. I value quality time with my loved ones and make it a point to schedule our time in my day for different family members. I have never had haram relationships and any connection I have with any non-mahram man is strictly professional. I have what I would call somewhat of a traditionally feminine sense of style inspired by Korean minimalist chic but in my younger years I’ve enjoyed more ‘edgy’ looks and may dabble in fashion once and again -within the bounds of halal and culturally appropriate of course-. I really value taking care of my looks and body and expect the same from a spouse. I work out regularly at home- mainly cardio- building muscle in my core legs and arms- and pilates. I’m a huge cat person and am very good with children- having volunteered with different ages for many years. I currently wear the hijab and have been since I reached puberty for 8 years now- I have been considering the niqab but it’s not a certainty that I will wear it in the future. I really value islam and have a long-term goal of fully memorizing the Quran- I’m nearly a third of the way through but still have a long way to go. I have a book collection of most Bukhari and Muslim hadiths and have memorized a big portion of them. I enjoy attending Islamic conferences and lectures as well as conventions relating to my career.
