I’m a practising Muslimah- who strives to be the best at whatever I do. I pray five times a day with the occasional sunnah prayers. I am always looking for ways to improve and better myself both in this life and for the next. I always try to prioritise my deen before the dunya and am looking for a life long partner with similar goals. I have attended an Islamic school during my primary and secondary school years- thus have solid knowledge of the deen- but I’m always willing to learn about Islam. I’m not a hafidh of the Quran but I try my best to read a portion everyday. I’m proud to be a Muslim and I’m not afraid to speak up when I’m asked to do something that crosses the boundaries of Islam. I am currently a student studying biomedical sciences- with the hope of working in healthcare inshallah- I am also interested in teaching as i have always loved children and want to give back to the community. I like to travel and create new memories where ever I go- I also like to read when I have the time. When I get overwhelmed or stressed- I like to surround myself in nature. I’m the type of person who goes on spontaneous trips -not necessarily abroad or far- for the thrill and like adventures. To my family- I am known as the quiet- caring daughter- who always puts her parents and siblings before herself- and family-oriented. As the oldest of 4 - including me-- I have almost been like a second mother to my siblings as I have seen them grow. I always try to advise them and remind them of their duties in Islam and try to spend as much time as I can with them. I have a really good relationship with both my parents and I am comfortable with confiding in them with any issues I may have or just to rant about my day. To my friends- I’m known as funny- but serious when necessary. I have also been told that I am a good listener and not one to judge- I’m always smiling and optimistic to the point where people ask me if I ever have a bad day-- of course I do-I’m human too-. I always try to look for the good in others and very rarely get angry or into arguments. I usually treat my friends to lunch or we spend time together having picnics- when the weather permits. I’m usually the person that my friends come to when they are having problems- as I’m really good at listening and giving them advice and if I don’t have any to give I usually guide them to places where they can get the best advice. I don’t have many friends as I like to have a few close friends whom I can give my undivided attention to when we are together. I am an introvert- that seems quiet at first but once I start to warm up to someone I can be bubbly- funny and a bit of a chatterbox. I’m half Moroccan and half Ghanaian. I enjoy spending time alone to gather thoughts and reflect- but I also enjoy spending time with my family most as it’s were I can be myself without worries thus I wish to create the same safe environment for my future children- inshallah
